YouTube API Services

Cloutboost uses YouTube API Services within our application and Portal to retrieve and analyze data about YouTube channels and videos for influencer marketing research and campaign measurement. By using the features of our Service that rely on YouTube API Services, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

In addition, our access to and use of information obtained through the YouTube API Services is subject to the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). We encourage you to review the Google Privacy Policy to understand how Google handles your information.

Information We Access Through YouTube API Services

Through the YouTube API Services, we may access and process the following categories of data, primarily consisting of publicly available information about YouTube channels and their content:

• Channel information such as channel name, channel ID, description, country, subscriber counts, and total view counts;
• Video information such as video titles, descriptions, publish dates, view counts, like counts, comment counts, and tags;
• Aggregated performance and engagement metrics used to evaluate creators for potential campaigns and to measure campaign results.

Where we connect to a YouTube account through authorized access (OAuth), we request only the minimum scopes necessary to provide the requested functionality, and we use that data solely for the purposes described in this policy.

How We Use YouTube API Data

• To identify, evaluate, and recommend creators who are relevant to a client’s game or campaign;
• To measure and report on the performance of influencer marketing campaigns;
• To generate aggregated analytics, benchmarks, and insights within the Cloutboost Portal.

We do not use YouTube API data to serve advertising, and we do not sell YouTube API data to third parties.

Storage, Retention, and Deletion of YouTube API Data

We store YouTube API data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Authorized (private) user data obtained through YouTube API Services that is stored is refreshed or deleted in accordance with the YouTube API Services requirements; stored authorized data that is not refreshed is deleted no later than 30 days after collection, except where we are required to retain it to comply with a legal obligation. Publicly available data may be retained for analytical and historical benchmarking purposes in aggregated or de-identified form.

You may request that we delete YouTube API data we hold that is associated with you by contacting us at the address in the “Contact Us” section. Upon a verified request, we will delete the relevant data and direct our service providers to do the same, unless an exception applies.

Revoking Access to Your Data

You can revoke our application’s access to your YouTube and Google data at any time through the Google security settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Revoking access will stop our application from accessing your account data going forward; to also request deletion of previously collected data, please contact us using the details below.
