YouTube Gaming Influencers: Shooting Games Top 10 YouTubers

By admin 0 comments
The gaming category is one of the largest and most engaged on YouTube: according to Google, 90 percent of gamers watch YouTube videos at least once a week. With 95% of video game views being generated by gaming influencers, YouTube sponsorships are transforming the approach to game marketing. Publishers and developers all over the world are capitalizing on the trend by entering into brand deals with YouTube Influencers in a bid to entice more engaged consumers to purchase their products.

Shooting games have gained popularity across the world and among all types of players. The games offer a simple to understand mechanics and are fun to play and watch. Some years back, renowned psychologist Leonard Reinecke observed that shooting games were an effective way to ease stress and combat depression.

YouTube sponsorships proved to be highly effective for shooting games marketing. According to Octoly, the gaming segment on YouTube is dominated by Call of Duty with 10.2 billion views generated by fan-created videos as of 2015. The “Battlefield, “Call of Duty’s” longtime rival, boasted 3.5 billion views in 2015. But don’t get intimidated by top publishers’ performance, there are multiple success stories from smaller studios and indie developers. For example, the fan-created videos about the co-operative, first-person shooter “Evolve” have been viewed more than 118 million times just after the game’s launch.
